Applied Information — Canadian Distributor

Tacel deploys Applied Information's Glance Smart City System and Glance Transit Signal Priority across Canadian municipalities. The platform connects buses, emergency vehicles, and traffic signals through C-V2X — already in production with Burlington Transit and other Canadian agencies.

Applied Information

About Applied Information

Applied Information builds connected-vehicle and smart-city technology that links buses, emergency vehicles and traffic signals over C-V2X. Its Glance Smart City System gives agencies a cloud platform to monitor and manage signals, school-zone flashers and connected-vehicle applications, while Glance Transit Signal Priority lets transit vehicles request priority at signalized intersections to keep service on schedule.

Tacel deploys the Glance platform across Canadian municipalities and is already in production with Burlington Transit and other Canadian agencies. As the deploying partner, we handle the field side — installing the in-cabinet and roadside hardware, integrating with existing controllers, and bringing transit and emergency vehicles onto the system — so a Canadian agency can stand up a connected-transit or smart-city corridor with local support rather than coordinating directly across the border.

Applied Information applications in Canada

Transit signal priority

Glance Transit Signal Priority lets buses request priority at signalized intersections over C-V2X, helping agencies keep routes on schedule without dedicating a lane.

Emergency-vehicle preemption

Connecting emergency vehicles to the Glance platform lets them request signal preemption along a response route, clearing intersections ahead of arrival.

Smart-city signal monitoring

The Glance Smart City System gives an agency cloud-based visibility into signals and school-zone flashers, with alerts and remote management across the network.
