Tacel and Synapse ITS hosted a hands-on Polara Accessible Pedestrian Signal (APS) training session at the City of Edmonton Traffic Field Operations facility on September 23, 2026.
The technical session covered Polara APS hardware, button mounting, field wiring, PBS systems, wireless pedestrian systems, iCCU-S2 and iCCU-C2 systems, system configuration, special functions, maintenance and troubleshooting.
Participants also had the opportunity to work directly with APS equipment through practical workstation exercises focused on system setup, maintenance and troubleshooting.
